SPAM update terminates due to syntax errors

Hi Experts,

We are currently applying EHP5 on one of our HR systems.

The current SPAM version is 700 44, it was recommended to update it to version 45.

Unfortunately in the process the newer 702 45 was applied, which resulted in the following errors:

4 EDO631 * Parallel execution with maximal "6" concurrent tasks *

4 EDO677 Total of "139" objects with &3"52.120" costs in &2"17" tasks

3WEDO644X"17:58:38" <- task "00017" receiving error ["vmchqci_CHQ_01"] "(1 Sek)"

3WEDO641             RC="2": "Syntax error in program SAPLSDVA""."

4 ED0349             Objects: "VIEW VE071LOCKFLAG" - "VIEW V_SH_RFCD"

3WEDO644 "17:58:38" <- task "00017" receiving error ["vmchqci_CHQ_01"] "(0 Sek)"

3WEDO641             RC="2": "Syntax error in program SAPLSDVA""."

4 ED0349             Objects: "VIEW VE071LOCKFLAG" - "VIEW V_SH_RFCD"

3WEAD010 "Reduce number of processes for" "vmchqci_CHQ_01" "to" "5"

4 EDO645 "17:58:38" <> task "00017" started synchronously ["vmchqci"] "(2 Obj, 2.860 Cost)"

1AETR012XProgram terminated (job: "RDDMASGL", no.: "17583500")

We tried to re-apply SAPKD70045, but this results in the same errors, does anyone have ideas how to correct this without doing a restore?

Best regards,

Maarten Ettema

Hello Maarten,

Assuming that you mentioned 702 45 by mistake as a typo, the following could solve your problem.

This could be related to incorrect version of dbsl patch in your kernel.

Similar problem is listed in the SAP Note: 1341975 - Add. info. on upgrading to SAP ERP 6.0 including EHP5 ABAP

if it wasnt a typo and 702 version 45 was indeed applied by mistake. Please read OSS Note - Note 684564 - Re-importing a SPAM/SAINT update to try and reset the 702 45.

if all fails, please raise an OSS message to SAP and provide them a connection.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Siddhesh

Hi,

Can you tell in which phase the SPAM is currently running?

Try if it is possible to disassemble the support package and try to reset status. Run the SPAM version 45 again.

Thanks,

Ravi
