BO mobile trial version

we would like to have a look into BO mobile and show some things to our customers. Is there something like a trial version available?

Hi Vanessa,

Not a trial version exactly, but a sample db and sample reports are available to test and showcase to the customer.

however, in case of 3.1 mobile componet will have to be downloaded and setup will have to be done using the guides available at help.sap.com

While in case of BI 4.0, the mobile component is integrated in the Server and no seperate installation is required.

Hello Atul,

thanks a lot for your answer. Our problem is to show BI reports on the IPad but we don't want to invest into the BO mobile license as long as we don't know if this is good enough for our customer. Therefore we are also looking for some alternatives to display the BI reports.

Hi Vanessa,

as i mentioned if you have BI 4.0 then no seperate license is required for BO mobile.

You can just configure the servers ( VAS and VMS seen in CCM ) using the installation guide.

A default derby db comes pre installed with BI 4.0.

You can connect your ipad and showcase the reports.

Check out help.sap.com for guides specific to ipad and BI 4.0 mobile configuration.

Hi Vanessa,

For showing webi reports in Ipad, the procedure is pretty straight forward. You don't even need to perform mobile configuration. You need to deploy the .war file and perform all the steps as mentioned in 403_mobipad_admin_en.pdf file.
