Material types applicable in IS-Media

Hi experts,

  I am new to IS-Media and trying to configure material types applicable for IS-Media. Can any one pls. tell me is there any materail types to be created for MEP1, MEP2, MEP3. Also apart from MD01, MD02 is there any other materail types required? Pls. let me know if there are any e-books or links that are usefull in this regard are available.

Hi,

In standard SAP for IS-MEDIA following material type is required:

DIEN,NLAG,UNBW,HAWA

but apart from this as per business requirement you have to define like for e.g:

for media insert,Media Product Family,Media Issue Valuated,Media Issue Non-Val,Media Product,Media Product - Series,Raw Materials,

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to replicate media product in CRM. We have created media issues (subscription for dailies) as Media Product  and want the same to be replicated in CRM as we have to create order in CRM itself.

Hi,

Following are the important material types.

1. MD01 - Media Family/Publication.

2. MD02 - Media Product/Edition.

3. Md03 - Media Issue

4. SI - Ad Insert (If you are using Ad insert booking and distribution).

5. VERP  - standard packing characters.
