CTP scenario with batch stock at component level

Former Member

Hi,

We are trying to use CTP  , to confirm finished product on sales order level based upon matching batch stock of component.

We are not using variant config or configurable material but using class 023 for material. On the sales order batch is entered , which is supposed to pass characteristic and should get confirmation from batch stock of component.

Finished product has 3 as PP procedure in APO.

At present , there is no pegging between dependent demand and stock thus , system creates always planned order and does not take into account stock of component.

Thanks

AD

Hi,

Batch determination will not be executed by default. You need to have your classes and characteristics in APO. Please check the following link for details on required configuration.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm50/helpdata/EN/b3/12813b680c250fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm

The following SAP notes are useful as a reference. They describe how to pass the shelf life related data to APO (batches and sales order).

https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/751392

https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1548827

As described in the notes, you need to implement BAdI CIF_ENHANCE_BATCH_CHAR to pass the value assignments from R3 to APO.

Thanks,

Rajesh

Hi Rajesh,

Class and characteristic are in APO. We can see the chracteristics for batch in /SAPAPO/RRP3 for thr stock.

Question is without using class 300 , Is it possible to do CDP.

How to maintain pegging relationship of dependent demand with stock of component

Thanks

Hi AD,

If I'm correct, CDP needs class type 400 (classification) whereas 300 represents the variants.

  • Have you checked the batch info of sales order passed from ECC to APO correctly?
  • Is the ATP check working fine and showing the confirmed quantities? Only confirmed quantities are relevant for pegging as per the standard settings of pp procedure 3.
  • Have you selected 'Btchs Only' flag in the planning procedure config? (This tries to match at batch level without attempting characteristics evaluation).
