Basis - Upgrade to NW73 - How to launch the Upgrade:

After completing the prepare steps on an Upgrade from NW 70 to NW 73, I am not finding the way of launching the Upgrade program. I read about SUM and I wonder what I have to use it to start the upgrade.

Up to this point, the upgrade was handled thru the “Maintenance Optimizer”, generating the stack files are downloading all required software components into the mounting points. The most recent version of SAPup was also downloaded.

On the other hand, the Upgrade guide is asking for the execution of the program STARTUP, that is not present in any of the downloaded software from the “Maintenance Optimizer”.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

Upgrade tool will not be present in the download software that you downloaded with the help of MOPZ. Upgrade tool you need to download separately from service market place.

After download, uncar it in upgrade directory and then you will get required files to start the upgrade tool.
