Differance between Restricted and Public type of publication in Bid invitation

Hello Everyone,

We have SRM 5.0 with ECS. I am working on bidding project and I have below question.

We have one field in Bid invitation called "Type of Publication" and that field has two options.

1) Restricted Bid invitation

2) Public Bid invitation

Can anyone explain what is the difference between them ?

Hi,

Restricted Bid Invitation: is sent to known bidders by e-mail. Hyperlink of compnies webpage is mentioned in the email from which Bidders can log on and enter their bid.

Public Bid invitation: is accessible to potential bidders through web as bids are published on portals. In this case; bidders can reach companies web page & using a hyperlink from the portal should log on and enter their bid.

Hello,

Restricted RFX are shown only to the invited bidder/supplier users on Bidders tab.

Public RFX can be seen by all bidder users registered in your SRM 5.0 System.
