SoDocA: Analysis Results - meaning of Used Transactions

Hi Everyone,

i'am wondering if the usage of transactions (column "Results") stated under "All Transactions and Reports" is actually the quantity of transaction calls or the overall usage including transaction steps? It seems to be to large and i could not find any information about this.

Best regards

Andreas

Hi Andreas,
In the SAP Guide: '
How to use Reverse Business Process Documentation and the Solution Documentation Assistant functionality in Solution Manager 7.1'
Is described the following about the field 'Results'

Note that the figure that is shown under field „Results‟ is not the total number of times that a transaction was called in the period that was analyzed. This information comes from the Workload Statistics transaction (ST03N). In ST03N we find data stored under „Transaction Usage‟. By „Transaction Usage‟, SAP doesn‟t measure/count how often a transaction has been executed. Here you will see the field „Task Type‟. This measures/counts the screens (step dialogs) that are called within a transaction. Therefore, the number of times transaction IW32, for example, was used/executed by the users will never be the same as the total number of screens called from IW32. In addition: - information about objects that are called dynamically in the system is not stored in ST03N. Dynamic calls information is stored in the new tool „Usage & Procedure Logging‟ available with Solution Manager 7.1. - as long as the transactions are called by specifying in the coding „CALL transaction‟, the usage of the
transaction will be recorded.
Kind regards,

Hi Andreas,

'All Transactions and Reports' includes all transactions executed in the relevant satellite systems. This however includes SAP Standard Transactions as well as the 'Z' transactions, the bifurcation of which is given below for 'SAP Transactions and reports' & 'Customer Transaction and Reports'.

This brings the data of only the number of times the transaction is executed in the managed system, of that particular 'Transaction', strictly excluding the Transaction Steps within itself

Agree with Nishu.  It's the number of times the transaction was executed.  And this includes the people just "trying out" the transaction but not doing anything with it.

In terms of the transaction count - what was your time profile?  3 months?

The SoDoCA Analysis time count in my case was of 3 months which depends on EWA Data, however the transaction count is not related to that 3 months only, but it includes the total number of times the transaction is executed in the managed system, based on the data available from STAD
