Financial Document type for SD Invoice

Dear Gurus,

Could you please let me know the reason for separate document type "RV" for Sales Invoice in SD module?

In SD, what is the need for another document type for Invoice in Accounting?

As it is flowing from SD to FI,Why can't we use DR document type for Sales invoice in SD?

Please provide the list of document types for the documents posted from SD to FI.(If any others apart from RV)
