Error while installing IDES server - step 24 Start instance

Hello

Am setting up an IDES server Based as ABAP and while on step 24 of 27 (Start instance) i get the below error.

I investigated the issue to related to be with my Virtual memory of which i have extended to even 9GB.

Restarted the server and begun the process but i fail at the same point.

Kindly help on what i need to check on

ERROR 2012-05-10 10:31:40.929 FCO-00011  The step start with step key |NW_ABAP_OneHost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Onehost_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|NW_CI_Instance|ind|ind|ind|ind|11|0|NW_CI_Instance_Start|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|start was executed with status ERROR ( Last error reported by the step :Instance BME/DVEBMGS00 reached state UNKNOWN after having state STARTING. Giving up.).

please check the Oracle services are started or not.

or

restart the sapinst

Hello Jamil

I have checked that all Oracle services are up (Listener and Oracle Instance).

Restarted SAPInst.

Please guide on how to log on using DDIC while instance is not running.   (Forgive my questions am very fresh in SAP).

Thanks for your help and looking forward to further guidedance.

Dear,

For Logon: first you have to install SAP GUI and then you can login with.

Client : 000

User: DDIC

Password: pass / that password which you used during installation.

hmmm,,,

You can resolve your issue with the help of following workaround.

> Stop/exit the Sapinst

> make a copy of keydb.xml from the installation directory

> Search the text 'CDATA[ERROR]' from keydb.xml

> Replace text OK with Error.

like 'CDATA[ERROR]' --> 'CDATA[OK]'

> Repeat the installation choosing 'continue with old option'

Thanks Jamil i have managed to get past that.

Now another error (this is the 2nd last step).... and my instance seem to have disappeared.  See attached error

Unable to open RFC connection to SAP System <YAS>

SOLUTION: Start the system.

Dear,

You can start sap with following command and complete your installation with Retry.

\usr\sap\YAS\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64>sapstart.exe pf=G:\usr\sap\YAS\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS00_<System_Name>

and

what is status of shared folder (sapmnt, saploc)?

I seem not be very lucky with this installation.

I have restarted the service as per your guide but it doesn't come up.

On retrying installation it processed on until Run ABAP Report (The last step) which gives me another error.

check the RFC in SM59

what is status of Virtual memory which you did set?

Hello,

Is it possible to log on to the system as user DDIC with the DDIC

password or with the default password 19920706?

If so, please try to manually execute the reports:

RSWBOINS and RADDBDIF via transaction SE38.

I don't think i will be able to log on to the system as SAP Service (SAPYAS) disappeared as mentioned ealier.  However i have tried to log on and i get the same connection error as posted on attachment 1  (Error).
