to put range as value in results recording for an inspection lot

Hi Experts

How i can put the range as a value during the results recording for an inspection lot.I am not using inspection point,inspection methods.

This is the urgent requirement for my implementation project.

Need urgent solution.

Ranges are not allowed as Sujit indicated.  You can however use > or < in an result.

If you know the value is always a range you can split this into two characteristics.  I.e.

MIN value CU %

MAX value CU %

If you are batch managed and you need these reported as one characteristic you can create a general characteristic in the batch (CU_PCT) that is populated by a procedure that takes the values from the MIN_CU_PCT and MAX_CU_PCT and records this as a singel result in CU_PCT.

there is no direct way to do it as per std since range can not be used in quantitative char result recording  but,

1.you can use Inspection description or addition info field in result recording.

or

2.If you have the number rage fix( every time you have range like 10-15 ,15-20 etc)  then create a "char attribute" with the catalog type " 1" and assign to qualitative char and select one during result recording .
