Connect SAP PCo 2.2 with PI Agent

Hi.

We are using PCO 2.2 with SAP MII 12.2.

We have to read historian tags from a rockwell server.

I have created a source system in PCo as PI Agent.

The server PI is well found but when i want to connect, it is not possible --> Unable to open a session to the server"

In other side, we have installed the tool "PI-SDK" (version 1.3.6) and when we test the connection with the same server anc with the same settings, the connection is done : all tags are readable.

Someone could have an idea for this problem ?

Regards,

François.

Francois,

Can you confirm that you installed the PI SDK 1.3.6 on the PCo Server?

Can you describe the "other side" server details that you are using to test a connection to PI?

Hi Steve.

I confirm that we install PI SDK 1.3.6 on the PCo Server.

The "Other side" means that if we use the tool "About SDK" from the PCo server, we can read tags from PI server.

After others requests, it seems that there is a problem licence.

Info from Rockwell : "

« In order to connect to the FT Historian SE, your client may need to get an updated license file from Rockwell that validates MII.  PISDK clients (e.g. PCo) must get an FT security token and pass that along to PI for authentication.  Only application ID’s recognized by the Rockwell license are allowed to connect.  That list of known appIDs is kept in the license file and must be explicitly added by Rockwell.

Once they have that, MII can connect to FT Historian SE via PI trust.

Regards,

François.
