Job monitoring with SM 7.1

Hello,

I am trying to figure out how could I monitor particular jobs with SM 7.1 Technical Monitoring (e.g. runtime and status of job with name XY). Did anyone of you try to setup job monitoring in SolMan?

Hi Julius,

Monitoring particular jobs is not currently a feature of technical monitoring based on content version 7 templates.  The metrics available today are limited to quantity thresholds of cancelled jobs, not which jobs cancelled.

Have you looked at the Job Monitoring section of the System Monitoring work center?  This would provide you the customized search criteria.  If alerting is a requirement, you may want to try System Monitoring work center -> Setup -> System Monitoring -> Configure System Monitoring.

From here you could create an alert based on CCMS pre-requisites to monitor and report on customized job cancellations.

Hello,

Does it have to be Technical monitoring part that monitors jobs? Normally this functionality is provided by BPMon. There you have a lot of options for job monitoring. Take a look at http://service.sap.com/bpm
