CCMS agents in SOLMAN Upgrade

Dear Gurus,

We are running on the following platform SAP ERP 6 EHP4 on Oracle 11 in AIX.

Curruntly our Alert and Monitoring happens as shown below:

ERP / Java Systems --> SAPCCMS* Agent --> Solution Manager 7.0

Now we are going for Solution Manage upgrade to SOLMAN 7.1.

Could you please brief me about the changes/updates on the SAPCCMS Agents already installed on the satellite systems.

Do we need to unregister the CCMS agents and use new SAP Host Agents and Diagnostic Agents.

Hi Kiran,

You can still use the CCMS agent for the monitoring if you want to use it.

In Soman 7.1 , there are new features in Techinical Monitoring area which you can make use of. THis does not need the CCMS agents. You can monitor it through CCMS RFCs

Mainly, You perform RCA, Java related monitoing through SMD agents.
