why is note 1477877 not released?

I'm following up on the problem with pushbuttons not being available in approval mails in Outlook 2007. We have previously used note 1477877, but now I get up "document is not released" when I try to access it. Does anyone know why? Is there a better solution available for this problem now?

I suspect that note 1682407 is a new version of old one 1477877.

That's great, thanks!

The new note even talks about the possibility to enter approval notes from Outlook 2007 so it looks promising.

Just 2 points: why do SAP make the old note "not released" rather than indicating it is obsolete and has been replaced by the new note in the text at the top?

This means that the Knowledge Base Articles link I added to my question should be updated with the new note number as well.

Hi,

This note was a KBA consulting note.  Since it was a consulting note we simply archived it as it was wrong and causing several kinds of issue.

We decided to provide an official code correction note.

I will ask the developer of this new note include that this note substitutes the old KBA consulting note.
