key figure value: peculiar behaviour

Former Member

Hello DP experts,

I encounter a problem wherein a changable keyfigure value is not accepting the change made, rather returns to the orignal value

Example

Initial state

Key figure1 (Type F, input/output) - qty 10

Macro1 - 15 (based on above key fig as one of the input)

Change

Key figure1 - qty change to 15 > Enter >  displays original value 10

Macro1- 20

After save

Key fig 1- qty 10 (original qty)

Macro 1- 15 (same as orignal)

Key Fig1 itself is not an ouput of any other macro

Behavior is same at both aggregate level and detailed level !

Observed ONLY for some products ! This sounds weird but this is what I see

What could be the likely reasons for the such a behaviour ?

Thanks

Gulabgurugulab,

What kind of Calculation type have you defined for this Key figure 1 in your Planning area?

Hi DB49,

Thanks for the prompt response. The key fig calculation type is P- based on another key figure

Gulabgurugulab,

The 'other key figure' is most likely the place where you will find your answer.  The first thing I would check would be any Macros that affect the other key figure.

Thanks DB49,

You are bang on as always. Yes there was a meaningless macro based on the other key figure. The quick solution was to deactivate the macro.

Thanks
