CIF Error....Unit does not exist system wide. not created as alternative UoM

I am trying to CIF Material Master and getting the error Unit  does not exist system wide.  not created as alternative UoM. What could be the reason?

Hi,

It looks like you used a custom UoM in ECC that was not available in APO.

You can use t.code CUNI in APO and maintain the custom UoM same as in ECC. The standard UoMs are already available out-of-the-box. However, the custom UoMs are to be maintained manually.

• APO SPRO path (if you prefer to t.code CUNI) - IMG>SAP NetWeaver>General  Settings>Check Units of Measurement.

Or

You can transfer from ECC using t.code RSA1   under source system SAP R/3 (if source system not present then create one) and select Transfer Global settings option.
