Hi Experts,

We have six servers in our landscape but now we have planned to split this landscape in two parts for two different clients.

For that we need to create one more transport directory for our second landscape but we also want to include the data of previous

trans directory. So please help me to understand how we can create new trans and copied all the data of previous one in it.

Regards

Ashish

Hi Ashish,

Please find the steps, below;

1) Copy "/usr/sap/trans" directory and paste to the new system

2) Go to STMS t-code

3) Click on System overview (F6)

4) Double click on the system that you want to change the new transport directory

5) Click on "Transport tool" tab

6) Change "TRANSDIR" parameter to the new path

7) Go to RZ10 and change "DIR_TRANS" parameter

😎 Go to STMS transaction

9) Click on Import Overview (F5)

10) Locate cursor on the system

11) Click on Refresh (F5) button

Hi Orkun

Thanks for your reply. Its going to be worth but now we got one more issue regarding how to transport a request to non connected SAP system. I had gone through below link

wiki.sdn.sap.com/.../How+to+copy+Repository+Objects... - United State

but is there any other procedure to transport request except copying data and cofiles.

Hi Ashish,

Of course you can export and import (CG3Y, CG3Z) new request without copy and paste to the new system, by this way. I mentioned that you need to copy old requests into the new system to save copy old requests in one task.

Hi,

If I understood correctly - You are splitting 6 systems into 2 landscapes (2, 3 system landscapes).

If it is - It's a normal STMS configuration

If you want to get the whole data from old transport directory into new - option is copying the data from old transport directory into new directory and then renaming the SIDs (if required).

Hi Nick,

1) How to create the transport directory of new landscape.

2) What parameters need to be set.

3) What data need to be copied from previous trans.

I hope my questions are clear. In case you need to know any other information please post.
