Confirmation in SRM for classic scenario

Dear SAP gurus,

We are in SRM 7.01 with backend ECC 6.05. We are planning to have classic scenario, with some variants:

a. PR in ECC which already have contract assigned to it will be created as PO in ECC automatically,

b. PR in ECC without assigned contract will be sourced in SRM. RFx will be created. If as a result PO is created, it will be instantly created in ECC (Classic scenario)

We are in doubt about the confirmation process. We have read that classic scenario also support confirmation creation in SRM. In this case, point b, we think we can have the confirmation created in SRM.

What we are in doubt is in point a. In point a, there is no interaction at all with SRM. So is it possible that for point a, we create confirmation in SRM?

Best regards,

John

Hi John,

I assume that in case a) the PR was created by a shopping Kart from SRM, so it's no problem to do a confirmation in SRM. If not Users in SRM with Purchaser Role assigned should be able to do comfirmation on Backend POs.

Hope it helps.

Cheers

Stephan

Hi Stephan,

The PR in point a) is created in ECC and is not transferred to SRM because it already got sourcing in ECC. So in case of point a) there will be no SC in SRM. So in this case, can I still create confirmation in SRM?

John

Hi John,

yes this should also be possible, but not with employee role. You have to use Purchaser's role (I don't know exactly which one), or Central goods reciept Role.

Hi,

Precisely said by Stephan, you should assign following roles.

/SAPSRM/RECIPIENT or /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER
