SAP Version Management not working

Hi Experts,

Recently we refreshed our QA box from Prod,the system is ERP 6.0 EHP5.

We started noticving the issue  that  for some programs the versionin the version management is not shown during the reimport of missing TRs from QA system.

When we move the TR from Dev to QA ,the changes are moving to QA but in order to do version comparision the versions in verrsion management utiulity are not shown.

Strangely,the chages are present in the program/code but versions are not shownt as latest TR no.

Can you please suggest us what could be the reason for this issue.Any pointer in which direction we should start the troubleshooting for this?

Hi,

by default there is only a source code versioning in development (when changing the object itself, old version is saved into the database).

If in production you didn't activate tp-parameter "VERS_AT_IMP = always" then there will be no versioning when a new version of an object is imported via transport. With a system copy you put your empty production history into QAS, and will not see any versions there too (although the changes can be seen in source code).
