BW 7.3 upgrade

Hi,

I am performing an upgrade from dual stack BW 7.0 to 7.3. I will use the split tool to remove JAVA from the 7.0.

1) As I hear, 7.3 do not have Java. Is it correct? Will we still have BI_JAVA in 7.3? We still have Java based reports, and broadcasting. Please advise.

2) After upgrade to 7.3, we would like to use BI_JAVA in our existing enterprise portal 7.0 and connect it to BW 7.3. Is this possible? Any compatibility issues for the communication between Netweaver 7.0 BI_JAVA with Netweaver 7.3?

The main thing i would like to know is the compatibility of Neweaver 7.0 Java (Portal) with BI_JAVA to my Netweaver 7.3 ABAP. Will this connection and functionality be seamless? Is this permitted?
