Digital signature at RR and UD for test equipment

Hi all,

I'm setting up a test equipment management scenario and I would like to add digital signatures. We are running ECC 6.0 and EHP4 so I thought that it would work. Unfortunately it seems that the signatures are triggered from the QM auth. filed in the material master. Is there any way to use the same functionality for an Equipment?

We have used the Z signature tool that SAP provides in another scenario but I prefer to use the standard function mostly because of the audit trail functionality in that scenario that we struggled with. Is it not possible to solve by SAP standard I think that we are forced to use the Z solution. Has anyone used the signature tool in the RR and UD scenario for test equipment before?
