Cancelling inspection lot

Hi All,

I have a material for which quality view has been incorrectly maintained in such a way that an inspection lot will be created but result recording is not supported.

Now, for a particular inspection lot of this material, an inspection plan has been assigned wherein one of the results (characteristics) is mandatory.

But since result recording is not supported, i am unable to enter this mandatory result. Due to  which i am unable to take the Usage Decision for this lot.

How can i proceed with this lot?

Can i cancel this lot in some way? or Reversing the Material Doc is the only option?

Hi Neeraj

Please check in QA02 that inspection plant has been assigned for that lot and sample size is calculated as per the Sampling Procedure. Until and unless lot get the status REL , u cannot do the result recording.

The lot is in REL status only.

The inspection lot has been assigned to it.

Still unable to record results due to wrong maintenance of Quality view in Material master.

I am looking for a way out.

Can u explain ur problem more precisely about wrong maintenance of QM View?

Ticks maintained in the inspection setup were

• Post to insp stock
• Insp with task list
• skips allowed
• automatic UD

Issue has been resolved.

Without taking the UD, i posted the stock to unrestricted.

Though the inspection lots are still in the system with status REL, the stock is in unrestricted.

Temporarily the issue has been resolved.
