Hello,
I'm trying to do an upgrade from SAP Solution Manager 3.2 to 4.0 by executing the prepare, the pepare stops in phase BIND_PATCH by saying the connection to SAP up was closed and this lead the the errormessage in the UaServer:
glibc detected *** double free or corruption (out): 0x0000007fbfff8700 ***
The system is running on Linux Redhat Rel 4, x86_64.
Is there anyone who knows this problem, too? What is the solution?

Hi Ulrike
Installing SAP on linux requires glibc .There are different versions of glibc available ,you have to choose it according to ur requirement. The error you are getting is because of that only.
Please check the sap note :516716 and 171356.
Take the required glibc rpm and install it on ur linux machine.Latter on you can check the glibc version installed on ur machine.Your problem will be solved.
Any issues contact me.

There was a problem with the reuse of the "save" directory from the upgrade of the development system. After deleing this directory the error didn't occur, again.

Hi,
thanks for the answer. The solution was to restet the prepare and not to use the "save" directory" for an earlier upgrade. I don't know, why, but then the error was fixed.
I would like to give these "points", but I don't know how?
