Sales by Industry

In SAP from this financial year , we are going to track the sales by industry.

As we know, in SAP the industry code is set up at customer level. But normally we sell our items via distributor. And one distributor maybe cover several industries. So we have to find a way to capture the industry information at sales order item level.Does this is possible in SAP ? any standard solution available?

How are you generating your Sales Figures? By Distributors or by Customers.

I believe you are generating Sales Figures by Customers & if it is a Z-Report, then you just have to include the Industry code in the Customer Master in ABAP Code of Z-Report.
