How is SAP handling the new certificate of entry (Gelangensbestätigung) legislation in Germany?

New rules are being introduced in Germany from 1st July for zero VAT rated exports from Germany to other EU countries.

It will require a new document to be completed by the customer to provide evidence of the intra-Community supply, i.e. a Certificate of Entry (Gelangensbestätigung) containing certain information about the delivery.

If the certificate is not returned by the customer, the seller is supposed to charge full German VAT.

Is SAP offereing any functionality to satisfy this requirement?

I just came across your question regarding the new certificate of entry (Gelangensbestätigung).
posted in 2012. Not sure if this is still relevant for you but I'm trying to answer this anyway.

SAP Services in Germany is offering a solution to this as a so called "SAP Engineered Service" (fixed price, fixed scope, etc.).

Each industry will have it's own approach to addressing the solution, so I am interested to see if this product would work?

You can check Note 748208 - No VAT registr. no. f EU countries - supplement Note 158890 for handling this situation.
