SCOT - no delivery to because message too long maximum length 20.000.000 bytes

Hi there,

In ECC6, I am getting this error messages SOST, some of the attachment files, but the file size is not more then 20MB..., how to fix this one please

Hello,

For the error:

"No delivery to  because message too long, maximum length 20,000,000 bytes
Message no. XS841

Please check the detail error message.

Please check the Diagnosis. The message text is, however, e.g. 24,285,347 bytes long.

Please check the SAP note 690020.

As per note 690020:

If you want to allow larger emails to be sent, increase the mpi/total_size_MB parameter in the SAP

profile to a value that is greater than a quadruple of the largest mail to be sent. (For the size of the

mail, as a rule of thumb you can use approximately 150% of the size of the user data contained in

the mail).

And in this case above - 24,285,347 bytes, you need to increase the parameter mpi/total_size_MB

to 25 x 4 = 100.
