Hi Ajesh,

Thanks for the link..

but in that link it is suggested to go through the SAP-Note-1617371...but that Note is not available now..

So, if you have time please guide me the steps to configure..

Hi Ajesh,

I have checked in the "PSS" check box in GRC->AC->Maintain connector settings..and done the remaining required config in GRC->AC->userprovisiong->Maintain password self service..

when i login into NWBC i have regestered security questions, and later clicked on "Reset Password" in this i have answered Security questions after clicking on next it took me to next screen where i need to add the system details..here when i try to search the system..i could not able to find any system..and it is throwing message as "No records found for search criteria"..

We are on GRC-Ac10 -SP06..i have configured RAR,FF,and also CUP..as a last step iam configuring the "PSS"..

any idea why the system could not pull the system details in this particular screen..

Regards,

Ravi.

Hi Ravi,

Maybe stupid questions, but sometimes it is worth asking...

Does the user GRCADMIN exist in the PSS activated systems?

Are the plugins installed?

Did you do a user sync for all systems?

Vit

Thanks Vit,

As you said they are really worthy questions..

GRCADMIN user is not available in the backend sys..Now i have taken available user and tried to reset the password.. now i could able to see the system and can able to select the system..

But in the next step ie., confirmation stage, it is showing status as "Password reset failed"..What could be the reason for this..Please find below screen shot.

Hi Ravi,

Check first if there are any log entries in SLG1.

Then check the relevant RFC connections, both from GRC side and backend side. Assign SAP_ALL to the RFC users. If you are using communcation users, check that they have a valid pwd.  Do an authorization check in SM59. Also check that the correct connectors are selected in SPRO on plug-in side.

Hope this will fix your issue.

Vit

RAVI, could you tell me how to add GRCADMIN to backend system? please. Thank you

Hi Leon,

Login to backend system and create "GRCADMIN" through SU01.

Later in the GRC system Run the Repository object sync job.

Ravi.

Hi Leon,

Please refer to the sap note-1666204 for PSS configuartion.

Perform the following procedure:

Part 1: Configuration in SPRO
1. Run transaction SPRO.
2. Click the SAP Reference IMG button.
3. Navigate the menu path
    -> Governance, Risk & Compliance
    -> Access Control
    -> User Provisioning
4. Click the Execute button for Maintain Password Self Service.
5. On the left panel, under Dialog Structure, click PSS Global
Configuration Values folder
6. Click New Entries button.
7. Under the PSS Global Configuration Values, enter the following:
    Authentication Source = Challenge Response
    PSS Disable Verification = None
Number of Questions = 2 (Minimum should be 1)
Number of Attempts  = 3 (For Example)

8. Click Save button.
9. On the left panel, click the Challenge Response Questions folder.
10. Click New Entries button.
11. In the Challenge Response Questions, enter a Question in the field
provided.
12. Check the Active box.
13. Click Save.

Part 2: Configuration in CUP screens
1. Open your browser and enter your portal URL:
http://<hostname>:<port>/irj/portal
where <hostname> is a fully qualified host name
         <port> is the port number
check with your Basis team for these information.

2. Click on My Home tab.
3. Under the My Profile section, click on Register Security Questions.
Here register at least one security question and the answer.

Once this step is done then go to 'Reset Password' screen and complete
the task.

Hope this helps.

Hi Nandita

Just wanted to know if the users forgot the answers to their questions what happens?

As a Administrator can we assist?

Regards

Mustafa

I doubt on this.

There is no way where the users' answers are administered.

Hi

So what would happen if the user forgets his Answer. Will there be a way for the user to overcome this?

Otherwise the user will not be able to continue with the Password Self Service.

Mustafa

I think, he has to re-register himself for this service.

Of course, first his ID needs to be deleted from the "Manage Password Self-Service"

Faisal

Hi Snehal

As this thread is a bit old you might want to create a new questions and detail what your issue is and what you have done.

You can have a look at some of the steps of PSS in this link:
