How to start with floor plan manager?

Hi  experts,

I m newly working on web dynpro abap with HCM...

I want to develope some applications in Floor plan manager like leave order.. pernsion calculation etc..

But i don't know how far it is useful for those applications..

So, first i want to know in which case we go for floor plan manager.. and how to develop it..  How can we know that the application requires FPM?

When i searched for docs i didn't get clear docs...

Please guide me..

Also you can go through the elearning material on FPM available in SDN. you will get an idea on how FPM applications are developed. Based on that you can decide if you want to use FPM for your requirements.
