installation Ecc 6 on cluster

Hi,

I want to do an installation of SAP ECC 6 on Windows cluster

1. Oracle installation

3. central Instance install on NODE A

3. Dialog instance on Node B.

How can i achieve this

Please guide me how can i do this and give me the necessary Docx.

Hi Vivek

You can find the installation guide on SAP service market place for ERP 6 EHP5 on Windows. The document details the steps require to install SAP ERP 6 on MSCS cluster:

Just to explain in brief, the following steps are carried out on MSCS install

1. Oracle installation on both the nodes

2. Oracle Fail safe Client & Server (OFS) installation on both nodes

3. Applying the latest patches for OFS

4. First Cluster Node Installation (node A)

5. Database Instance Installation (node A)

6. Additional Cluster Node Installation (node B)

7. Central Instance Installation

8. Dialog Instance Installation

The above steps from 4 -8 you will find when you start the sapinst.

Kindly note that besides the above steps you also need to define groups and create share directories and assign certain permission. All these details are well documented in the sap installation guide on the service market place.

I would personally recommend you to follow the guide.

1. Install the servers with windows OS with latest patches with Cluster environments
2. Install the Oracle DB in the windows cluster environments with Latest patches
3. Central services instance for ABAP installation.
4. Central services instance for JAVA installation.
5. First MSCS node installation
6. Database Instance  Installation using backup restore method
7. Additional MSCS node installation
8.        Enqueue replication server installation for ABAP in Node I
9. Enqueue replication server installation for JAVA in Node I
10. Enqueue replication server installation for ABAP in Node II
11. Enqueue replication server installation for JAVA in Node II
12. Central Instance Installation in Node I
13. Application Instance Installation in Node II
14. Post installation Tasks
