EHP1 upgrade : tp failed with return code 249

Hello All

We are upgrading our SRM system from SRM 7.0 to SRM 7.0 EHP1.  We are using EHPI tool            SAPehpi_127-10005807.SAR

Tp check is fine in system . Snap attached.

What we have done to solve this issue :

1.      Upgraded the tp and R3trans of the system

2.      Upgraded the tp and R3trans in EHPI directory G:\EHPI\abap\exe and G:\EHPI\abap\exenew

3.      Upgraded the kernel version of current system

4.      Restart of system as well as host

The source  and  target release details

Tp check is fine in system

Current version of kernel

Current kernel tp and R3trans version

Kernel version in G:\EHPI\abap\exe and G:\EHPI\abap\exenew

tp and R3trans version  in G:\EHPI\abap\exe and G:\EHPI\abap\exenew

I hope you have started the upgrade with sidadm user.

These kind of errors get fixed with upgrading tp and R3trans.Try to upgrade them for source system (   it doesn't require restart).

yes started with sidadm and i have upgraded kernel and tp , r3trans in source release.

Hello Atul,

It seems like problem with DBSL patches. Please download the latest patch levels of current kernel release, upgrade, restart instance and start EHP1 upgrade.

Below things solved my issue :

I had already updated the dbsl libs but it was giving me cryptographic lib error and also it was giveing me message mysap stopped working. Then I have downloaded the latest cryptographic libraries and put them in souce system's kernel and also i have dowmloaded the microsoft's latest VC file and updated it on host.

Upgrade completed.

Hi,

try to use info from sap note 31559.

Error code seems like a problem with enviroment variables for oracle (dbms_type=ora, for example).
