How can i use Inhouse?

How to convert Inhouse into Global?

Help me by your suggestions for my scenario..

Any idea can be appreciated and it may be encourage for beginners like me..

hello Amarnath,

I personally use BIC only for standard EDI formats (EDIFACT, ANSI X.12 and Tradacom) but not for inhouse (flat files or csv). The reason is you can process inhouse files using the standard SAP tools (mapping, file adapter and AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean module).

BIC MD may be more flexibe indeed but it has the disadvantage that you need to deploy the mappings on the server as a library and you cannot deploy only one mapping but the complete library, so you need to run regression tests for all mappings before deploying the library to production. In our case at least, the effort and risk by doing this is too high. So I stick to the PI mapping tool and modules when doing inhouse files.
