BW 3.5 to 7.3 Upgrade project without Unicode Migration

Hello Experts

We just end a BW Upgrade project, but our consultant said us that we don´t need to do unicode migration, so now we try to run query and have unicode error.

Our question is we have to do unicode migration or we can stay without unicode migration?.

Hi,

You can still connect your NUC (Non Unicode) ABAP System to the UC based SAP JAVA system,
see details here http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-12162

The Upgrade to 7.30 with a NUC is still possible, MDMP is not available for BW anyway only single codepages or UC

basically, single code page is still supported but not MDMP. Also, If you connect a Java system  you have to migrate to Unicode.
