Time in logs is 2 hours later that on the server

Hi MDM specialist

We have installed new server with MDM 7.1 SP8. Server is based on Windows 2008 platform. I can see that in all MDM logs (for example in auxiliary servers/ syndicator) is time in logs always 2 hours later comparing to the time set up on the server. Can you help me to "discover" why is like that and set it up correctly.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Rafal,

Can you please test:

1.When you log in to Console, check connections and see if the time is correct for your users connection.

2.Check log and confirm on timestamp setting in syndicator.

I think what is happening is the Log values are in GMT and timestamp and others in internal format, which I think is picking up local timezone data.

Please update with findings.

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi Rafal,

In my view this cannot be changed,as it is a kind of Time field called GMT timestamp.

It is used to avoid confusion and beacuse of ease with which it can be converted to local time.

Can you please detail what is the rationale behind this, any particular requirement you are trying to meet here?

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi Rafal,

Just to add to that,I found this thread with similar discussion as ours, please go through:

In all its not advisable to change by means of the workaround suggested.

Thanks,

Hi Ravi

Thank you for replay. That solve my problem. Simply is better not to change the default time.

I can see that sometimes is confusing for my and my colleaqyes to read logs, we always have to remember if we read log then time is 2 hour different.

Thank you for replay.
