item category grayed once copied from reference

Hello All,

I am copying Quotation into sales order and when i open sales order with reference to quotation my item category become grayed means i am not able to change item category. Is there any way to copy QT to Sales order and then we manually define item category material level. means my requirement is changes wrt to requirements.

dear,

i would recommend you check out your copy control in VTAA  -

look at existing standard record QT->OR and make sure your record (say, ZQT->ZOR) looks equally.

of course ,make sure that your item category is assigned to both your quote and order type correctly...

p.s. after you made adjustments/changes please create a new quote and new order to test them
