Could you plz explain me the uses of Reference , incomplete & Complete Copy modes in MIC creation,With one example for three types.
A reference mic does not allow changes to be made when it is used in an inspection plan. You have to make all changes in QS21/22. This means that a change in QS22 reflects in all inspection plans the MIC is used in.
A copy model mic has all the data needed to be functional in an inspection plan. When used in a plan, the data is copied into the inspection plan. A change in QS22 IS NOT reflected in any plans it is used in. You must manually make the same change in all plans.
An incomplete copy model is just like a copy model. But is missing data to make it functional. Like a spec range. When inserted to a plan you must complete the data before saving the plan.
General Characteristics can only be lnked to reference characteristics.
