internet explorer cannot display the webpage in web Dynpro

HI,   

After activating the web dynpro application when i am doing the test run

its showing that "internet explorer cannot display the webpage".

Is there anything i need to configure , Please suggest me.

Hi Tapan,

Make sure that u r using FQDN(Fully Qualified Domain Network) for ABAP Server name.

and also make an entry at the below path

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

here open the hosts folder with notepad and make an entry like R3 port and Host name(FQDN)

eg:

XXX.XXX.X.XXX     sapides.zsl.local

Then log out and login again and check.

              when i  am giving the application server ip into the host i m unable to login,actualy i m using the realtime server its not ides. when i am giving this its showing the no root found to login.

From the given URL, http://ijr:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/y_first_webdynpro , it doesn't seems to be "ijr" is a fully qualified domain name.

what is the host name of the ECC server?

So I can understand you are running webdynpro component for first time. You have to do several configuration .

Pls activate below services inSICF tcode.

Add mms.com to the existing computer name and restart.  For me it is working.

For example :

Computer name : xyz.

MyComputer->Properties -> Enter

you will get a popup.

System Properties - Screen.  In that tab-> Computer Name.

You will see Full Computer Name.

Press Change button.

and give "mms.com".

save and restart the computer.

Now you can see the computer name as "xyz.mms.com".

Then your internet explorer will work.

                 Its not possible to change the computer name mms.com, dot is not allowing in computer name.

Check the Tools-->internet option-->connections--> LAN Settings-->Advanced-->Exceptions(*.server name)

Activating those services is part of solution , not complete solution. Once you activate the services.

have to set the parameter icm/host_name_full, we can set this usingT-Code RZ10. Check with basis guy for this.

After that you have to set the host file in  C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder

there you have to enter your server ip address and correponding domain name,

Hi,

Check whether you maintained Host entries or not. go to Run -> Drivers -> etc -> hosts

double click on hosts file, open with notepad. there you need to maintain host enties

<appl server IP>     <domain name>

Hi,

I think it is due to some proxy settings!!

In Internet Explorer, goto Tools-> Internet Options -> connections tab -> Lan settings -> Advanced ( under proxy )

Then in exceptions add irj(host name ) and check. check with IT Support team
