QM & SD Configuration Setting.

Dear sap,

WHAT R THE CONFIGURATION SETTING REQUIRED FOR INSPECTION TYPE 10 , 11 , 06. OTHER THAT IN QM MASTER VIEW IN (MM01).

          Where the configuration setting happens when I create delivery ,Inspection Lot will be created automatically?

               How One can make mandatory that Quality Inspection is mandatory before PGI?What all settings in Configuration is required for this?

               Where the configuration setting happens when I create delivery ,Inspection Lot will be created automatically?  I need to work on that process?

               After Usage decision,how the goods are moving into the unrestricted?   Where  the setting is being made that before PGI,Usage decisions are mandatory?

               Can you plz help me out?

Hello Asif,

First of all, please post questions as mentioned in forum rules... like do not write in BOLD & Capital letters and try to keep post as asthetic as possible.

Now to answer your questions:

- It's a standard SAP function to generate an inspection lot after delivery creation... only thing you need to do config mentioning; for which Delivery Type you want to create inspection lot with type-10.

Goto SPRO --> QM --> Quality Insp --> Insp Lot Creation --> inspection at shipping --> Assign Inspection Lot Origin to Delivery Type

- Wheher you want to make UD before PGI or after PGI; that you can mention in Q-Info Record: SD (Tcode- QV51).

- After Usage Decision, stock will be automatically posted to required stock type for all Stock-relevant Inspection Types. This is an standard SAP process. Also even manually you can mention in which stock type you want to post stock by mentioning the same in "Inspection Stock" tab while doing UD.

One quick add.  Inspection type 10's are not stock relevant inspection lots.  You cannot and do not psot any stock out of the usage decision. 

If the inspection is rejected and the SD in QM record is set as "before delivery" you will not be able to PGI the delivery. After rejection you must unpick the delivery and select a new batch for shipment.

PGI  Inspection.

Following is the process to generate inspection lot  to do inspection  before  goods issue( PGI)  from sales cycle.

1.       Activate inspection t lot origin  ‘10’ ( inspection for delivery to customer).

2.       Create Inspection plan (qp01) with usage’ 6’ ( goods issue. )

3.       Assign inspection lot origin ’10’ for required delivery type.

4.       Create sales order ( VA01)

5.       Create delivery ( Vl01N)

6.       After creating delivery  system generates  inspection lot with origin ‘10’.

7.       After result recording UD is given .

8.       Create PGI.

Note:- usage decision does not affect  stock as material code is not changed for PGI inspection it is mainly used only to record results for particular lot before goods issue and billing. System does not allow to do PGI before result recoding and UD .
