Inspection Lot cancellation with the status REL ICCO SPRQ QLCH

Hi,

There's one inspection lot with the status REL  ICCO SPRQ QLCH which is been created long back in 2008.Now to remove this from queue of the inspections.This Lot need to be cancelled.Have tried with the standard Menu Bar Functions-Cancel Lot.But Cancel Lot is in greyed out mode

Kindly provide a solution for the same

Such lots SPRQ staus that too from 2008  are really very painful.As you can not really cancel them unless original  material document cancelled,which is not possible as "account period indicator" must be close for it.

best way is to take UD & do stock posting in current period.( for this you have to check whether stock really exists for this material till this point of time.)Once you have stock you can do stock adjustment or simply move to block/scrap.

In SAP, you can not cancel an inspection lot for stock-relevant inspection types... so check which inspection type you're talking about here.

Then other option would be to LOCK the inspection lot... you can lock it for usage.

Also could you please check what value is maintained for "Selection period for insp lot processing in Days" in SPRO --> QM --> Basic Settings --> Plant dependent QM settings. Coz you're saying that lot is created in year-2008 and as per this  setting you can restrict it from displaying in QA32.
