Hello QMUser123,

Basic difference is:

03 is for inprocess inspection for production (Discrete) whereas

13 is for inprocess inspection for REM.

In both cases, inspection characteristics need to be maintained in Routing/Rate routing (Respective Task List)... no need for seperate inspection plan.

In 03, you can have single inspection lot with inspection points to record results repeatedly for different operation whereas for 13, you can have mulitple inspection lots for production version but can process only one at a time.

Hope this will help.

Regards,

Anup

Hi

03 is the inspection type used for creating the In process Inspection Lots with reference to the Production / Process Order mainly in Discrete Manufacturing Model.

13 is the in process inspection created with reference to the Production Version in transaction MFPR manually.

Any number of Inspection lots can be open for a particular material in case of 03 inspection. For 13 inspection, Only one Inspection lot can be open at any point of time.

03 inspection lots are created via routing in production (CA01)  or receipe for PP-PI (C201).  The lots are created when the production order or process order is released.

13 inspection lots are created via a run schedule header (MF02) in repetitive manufacturing.
