gATP does not work for Sales BOM

Hi,

I'm not familiar with SAP gATP in detail but on customer side we are facing an issue with gATP togehter with sales BOM:

BOM explosion seems to take place before the gATP call. If gATP then changes the plant assignment for the header material, a new order item position gets created for the header material. This new line does not get exploded into its components anymore.

Did you see this issue before and how did you solve it? I checked already OSS but I couldn't get any note for this behaviour.

I can just confirm the reply from Pablo. ECC is not able to handle different subitem levels and thus its

not allowed to run RBA for a sales BOM.

Hi Thomas,

When you say, "If gATP then changes the plant assignment for the header materia"l, do you mean that you are using Rules Based ATP? If so, please note that RBATP is not supported in the case of Sales BOM's as long as ECC does not allow to create a subitem from a subitem.
