Dear Expert,

I have come to discuss with a critical issue in our sap production system. Last day i have taken production system restart. Our production system has two application systems, CI and DB. On CI and DB there are two dialog instance. But after restarted the system one dialog instance is missing which is on CI in sm51. While i m trying to connect directly in CI it giving a message as connection refuse. But while i am trying to login through group server i am able to connect. Only that DI which is on CI is not working. My SAP System is ECC 6 with ehp 4. Os version AIX 6.1.3.0. Please guide me. Its urgent.

Thanks,

Samrat Chakraborty

Hi Samrat,

Can you please check in the work directory for the work process & dispatcher traces to get information regarding the startup failure.

Thank You.

Dear Samrat,

That means that all the work processes died. Did you check the dev_w* files? They should give a reason for not starting or stopping.

Tim

DP_FATAL_ERROR => DpWPCheck: no more work processes

DISPATCHER EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN ***.

These errors sometime comes, when it can not allocare the shared memory.

Have you released / cleaned the shared memory (cleanipc/ ipcrm) while restarting your system?

Vishal

Dear Samrat,

This indicates that the work processes are crashing right at  the start. So please use the latest 7.01 kernel from SAP's marketplace and check if the problem persists. If so, you will have to open a message with SAP, as this an error in the kernel.

Best Regards,

Tim
