SUS without SRM

Dead SAP gurus,

Is it possible to implement SUS without implementing SRM?

We're in the middle of SAP implementation for our client.

Initially, we were planning to implement SAP SRM. But due to various restrictions, it is very likely that we have to drop SRM.

However, we still need SUS functionality. But we don't know if SUS can be implemented without implementing SRM.

Can anybody hint us on this?

Thanks

Varian

Hi Varian,

Please refer the business scenarios of SRM.

Your question is not clear about " if SUS can be implemented without implementing SRM."  Are you talking implementing R3 and SRM in one client ?

SUS is one of business process of SRM.  SUS can be implemented in two scenarios.

1. MM-SUS  -  Plan Driven procurement.  - Here the Purchasing documents are flowing from R3 and ASN, Confirmations will be from SUS

2.  EBP- SUS -  Here the Backend system is SRM and the purchasing documents will transfer from SRM to SUS.

Please let me know for further clarification

Thank you for the reply.

Let's say that we have ECC and SUS functionality that we want to use is PO response and supplier registration. So we don't use RFx and Auction functionality.

Do we still need to install SRM server?

Thanks

Hi Varian,

PO response and Supplier registration are part of the SRM Business Scenarios.  Hence, you have to install the SRM Server.
