ITEM TYPE field in Tcode : VOV7

Hi SAP GURUS,

I want to know the meaning of "value item" and "standard item" in ITEM TYPE field of customization of item category (T-Code : VOV7).  Also, please give me examples of both types, which we use in live scenarios.

System process item that refer to a specific material differently then items that don’t refer to a material like TEXT items. As text items does not require processing pricing, taxes, and weight and volume calculations.

item type means a way of classifying items that require different types of processing by the system.

ex:text item(this item does not require classification)

value item means it is more or less standard item whose price is going to changed freaquently

ex:gold  -gold rate(price) is changed that mean increased or redused .

sales document type- or, item category group -wert and item category -taw.

standard item nothing but whose price is not changed(item category -tan)
