Cluster Script integration with package

Hello All,

we have HP Unix Cluster with IBM DB2 9.7 and SAP ERP EHP5 System in Place.

Cluster installation has been successfull movement is working fine, Since There is no service guard in place.

we need to know what all scripts need to be integrated  in package movement.

we have Distributed installation CI + DB node as i am new to HP Unix Please let me know, below are the points i have considered.

in DB Node:

db2stop force during stop package

db2start during start package

In CI node:

Script during Stop Package

stopsap

sapinit stop

Script During STart Package

Startsap

Please correct me and let me know what else need to be done.

Hi,

Its vary from system to system and depends on the requirements.

Ex: If you have your DB+CI on one and Apps on other server, just you can stop all on DB+CI and start them on Apps (It works as DB+CI).

If you have DB and CI on different hosts, then you can start your DB+CI on CI machine.

If you have DB+CI on one and apps on other, you can start your CI from apps (DB remains same).

Hi Nick,

Actually Manually I can start, here the issue is We dont have Service Guard so Hardware vendor is not giving any scripts.

i have SAP Application in Node 1 DB in Node 2, my requirement is to Create an Script and integrate the same in package so that when any node goes down i need to integrade the script.

I hope this should be addressed by the hardware vendor.

Hi Naveen,

I do agree Vendor has to give, Since Client has not licensed Service Guard from HP we need to define the script manually so i need the scripts.

As SAP instance has hostagent as well running.

Please share inputs on same.
