Hi Experts
I have rail scenario where 1 locomotive pulls 4 carriage ( wagon ) . Locomotive has no capacity and each carriage has 5000 KG of capacity. I create an order 20000 kg and expect the optimizer to plan my order to 1 locomotive and 4 carriages. I have already maintained locomotive and carriages as different means of transports. Locomotive is active Mtr and has no capacity, carriage is passive and has capacity. Means of transport combination is maintained as 1 locomotive with 4 carriages.
Does anyone have idea on how i can succeed on this ?
thanks..
Hello,
I have the exact same scenario set up for SAP TM 9.0 and by running the optimizer, there is no result coming up.
Is this flow supported at all? Anybody else has some experience with this?
Thanks
Salvador

Hello,
Thanks for your quick response Lalit.
The settings I have are the following:
Means of Transport 1: TRAIN
- Transportation mode: RAIL
- Resource class "Locomotive"
- Multiresource checkbox flagged
- No. of individual resource 999
Means of Transport 2: WAGON
- Transportation mode: RAIL
- Resource class "Rail car"
- Multiresource checkbox unflagged
- Passive
Means of transport combination:
Mtr Comb MTr Number of resources with this MoTr
TRAIN01 TRAIN 1
TRAIN01 WAGON 4
Capacity maintained for TRAIN01 = 250 Ton
With respect to transportation lanes, there is a lane maintained between the source and destination location where both means of transport are defined (TRAIN and WAGON)
With this settings, I create vehicle resources for TRAIN (locomotive) and WAGON (rail car).
By opening the transportation cockpit, I find that the resource for WAGON comes under the tab "Trailers". When I execute the optimizer I getthe error
"Resources with means of transport WAGON cannot be used"
Can someone explain how he set up this scenario to work?
thanks a lot
Salvador
Hello,
Did u already defined Transportation Lane for MoTr (1 locomotive) with Source & Destination Location?
Is your carriage MoTr has muti resources check enabled in the MoTr definition?

It sounds like you have it configured correctly. Can you describe your situation in a little more detail?
What happens when you try to plan your order?
Regards, Mike
