DB02 - wrong tablespace file name

Hi experts,

we have changed our tablespace directory from /oracle/<old_sid> to /oracle/<new_sid>.

Therefor we changed all necessary settings in oracle (e.g. control files).

Now all datafiles are in /oracle/<new_sid> and the database and SAP is running correctly.

But when I go to transaction DB02->tablespaces->overview->data/temp.files SAP still displays in the field "File name" the old directory /oracle/<old_sid>.

And this is definitely the wrong one, as it don't exists any longer.

So where is this value maintained?

Thx in advance for help

Kind regards

As the datafiles do not exist, you could drop PSAPTEMP and recreate it. If no files exist you could just add a datafile using BRTOOLS

Thx for your help

but I don't know exactly what you mean.

All datafiles exists.

But as written, we dropped them from /oracle/<old_sid> to /oracle/<new_sid>.

So our system is now running with the datafiles from /oracle/<new_sid> and we deleted /oracle/<old_sid>.

But DB02 still shows datafiles "File name" as /oracle/<old_sid> as they are definitely the files from /oracle/<new_sid>.

BTW: our SAP system runs without any problem and all tables are accessable.

But only the DB02 shows a wrong directory.

Kind regards

Can you see the PSAPTEMP datafile in BRTOOLS under the right path?

Hi,

PSAPTEMP is in the new path /oracle/<new_sid>, so yes, it is in the right path.

(I meant the brtool is displaying this, not only the file is in the right path)

Odd, have you refresh DB02?... (I guess you have but worth asking)

That data should be refreshed by RSORACOLR when running the REFRESH SPACE STATISTIC in DB02

dammit, now it runs.

Yes I had to refresh.

I did the refresh in DB02->system configuration.

But is not the sam refresh as starting DB02.

Next the refresh button is hidden, if you click on Tablespace->Overview, so I thought the data is always up to date.

Thx for your help, and sorry for my stupid question

Kind regards and a nice evening
