Changes in Customer master should not affect the historical documents ( Customer address)

The Changes in the customer master ( Adress data) gets changed in the preivously created documents also..I understand that it is because SAP uses ADRC table for address numbers.

Still, is there a way by which it can be avoided, i.e. the change in customer master should not change the address in the previous documents.

If user do not want to affect historical documents, it would be wise to advise user to always use new customer code.

Hello Sachin,

I believe that is not possible & also not posible to achieve it thru ABAP development.

This is because many standard programs refer to ADRC Table for Customer Address & you cannot change logic of all the Programs.

Thanks,

As other members mentioned, create new customer master for your requirements. OSS Note 380456 - Customer master data: Address change in documents implies the same.
