1. java services in MDM system restarted

2. MDM services in PI 7.0 restarted

3. java stack in PI restarted

4. cache refreshed

now when single selection is on , start and stop buttons  are grayed  out .

All MDM channels are with the same status "No adapter registeredfor this channel" MDIS and MDSS are running fine

PI logs says that JCA connection is lost wrt to MDM system .And only from this morning this issue is been faced

Hi Anusha,

Try the following

Stop and start the communication channel..

Please check the communication channel status if no status is available, perform CPA cache refresh.

Perform SLD cache refresh from ID.

Refer the below notes

1579878

No adapter registered for channel

Channel Monitoring shows "Channel has internal error"

Hi Anusha

Check if any patches were applied recently.(Deployed version should match PI version)

Check if the MDM_JAVA_API is exist on the server.

Logon to NWA through http://host:port/nwa/app-modules and check if "tcmdmadapter~svc" module is started.

Hello Osman,

we are in SAP XI 7.0 still. Can you guide how to check in XI 7.0 version.

I dont have access to any 7.0 system to login and check. I am working on 7.4.

You should be able to see it in the following path.

http://<host>:<port>/nwa

--> operations --> Systems --> Start & Stop --> Java Applications. search for tc~mdm~adapter~svc

pls ask your basis team to do a complete system restart of both ABAP and JAVA stack, and see if this issue gets resolved.

pls check with basis team if some patch upgrade was done yesterday.

also the default trace and application log files in /usr/sap/SID/DV*/j2ee/cluster/server0/log folder may have some information as to what error has occurred today.

I have the same issue. Any idea what are steps that I need to take to solve this issue. We are using the MDM sender Adapter for the first time in our SAP XI dev box.
