BusinessObjects Client for iPad

Hi Friends,

We know that the BusinessObjects Client for BlackBerry consists of the following components:

 BlackBerry Mobile Data System (MDS) -- Push data and services to BlackBerry mobile simulator.

 BlackBerry Mobile Simulator -- Test deployment and connection.

Is it possible to have these components on an iPad (MDS,MS) ?

I don't believe that would be possible as MDS, MS are Blackberry OS related components and would not work on the Apple's iOS.

You could however install the BO Mobile Client for iPad to connect to your BOE server.

I need to know if it's possible to install BO Explorer for Ipad to connect to my BOE Server.

In this case will the BO Mobile Server be required as a relay between BO Explorer and BOE server?

Is BO Mobile Server deployed as an add-on with BOE ?

It is possible to connect BO explorer using ipad to connect to BOE server.

There is a guide available at help.sap.com

the BO mobile server will not come into picture here. The war file MOBIserver.war and MobileBIService.war file shoud be presnt in your application server ( tomcat ).

The MOBIserver.war file is available after patch 8 in BI 4.0 SP2 versions.

The mobile server is an add on with Bo XI 3.1

However, it is integrated with BI 4.0 installations. There are no seperate installation for mobile for BI 4.0
