users Portal mapping with SRM Users

Hi experts

I'm working with SRM 7.0 and Portal. We have linked Portal with an Active Directory (LDAP). So all users ID in the Portal are coming from LDAP.

We want to create others UsersID in SAP SRM. Is it possible to have a User ID in Portal which is different from SRM system?

Example : User A connects to the portal which is mapped to User B in SRM

How to do that?

Dear Peggy

Normally we are communicating to the backend system by using the Single sign on with logon ticket or user mapping from the Enterprise Portal.

if we are using the single sign on with logon ticket the same user should be in both SAP Portal and ECC system. If you are having the different user id in both the systems (SAP Portal and ECC) you can go for user mapping in the Portal.
